The Spirit of Growing Together

This painted was created specifically to be used as part of my wedding invitation design. Created using watercolors, "The Spirit of Growing Together" is a symoblic piece which represents certain elements within our lives together.
The two trees signify the idea that two people can grow together and build a beautiful, healthy life. The paw prints on the trunk of each tree symbolize our totem animals, the wolf and the bear. In the mist of the mountain backdrop, the shapes of the bear and the wolf are visible, but subtle. The trees grow in a beautiful night time landscape, our favorite time of day. The mountains represent our love of the Earth and nature. The spirals in the grass are flowing and spiritual.
This painting was incorporated into our wedding invitation, which can be seen here in the print design gallery. The original painting was put on display at the wedding reception.
